Excellent service during our recent rental with Penske. The pickup and dropoff were both seamless, and the vehicle was in great condition and exactly as advertised.nnWe changed our dates three times, and the customer service staff on each occasion were helpful and courteous.nnWe rented a hand truck which was essential to assist with our move, but unfortunately there were none available at the point of pickup. However, we were told by Penske staff to purchase one onsite and they would reimburse the cost upon presentation of the sales receipt at dropoff.nnAt dropoff (at a different location) there were no Penske staff members onsite to undertake this transaction, so I called customer service where a very helpful staff member called Kara quickly and efficiently actioned the reimbursement over the phone.nnOverall, we had an excellent experience and customer service from everyone at Penske. Thanks for making our move from New York City to Denver so easy!
What you get told on the phone, as with any moving company or rental agency, may only be a rough estimate of the cost and delivery schedule. The actual details will vary upon pickup.nnWe were allowed to pick up the truck slightly early, however it was about $500 more than anticipated. The vehicle was dirty and had trash in all areas.nnThe back of the truck was also wet on the inside, so definitely cover your goods with something waterproof in case it rains.nnI had to take it back early and really stress out because my return date was on a holiday.
They give a complete different price at the location than they quote over the phone. I was quoted 1300 and when I got to the location they said that the truck would be 2300. The location is also ridiculously complicated to get into, if not careful you will end up taking the highway to the holland tunnel to NY.
