This company is bad news. Completely ripped me off and left my stuff on the street. Was a nightmare. By far the worst moving experience in my life.

***Please, do yourself a favor and do not use this company!!***nnThere are not enough horrible things I can say about the experience I had with these movers. It was disturbing and upsetting to say the least. They showed up 1.5 hours late with only two men for a four man job that I distinctly described when booking. They proceeded to tell me upon inspecting the amount and weight of the furniture I had that they couldn’t accomplish the move and had to come back another day but I needed to be out of the apartment that day so they agreed to proceed. My friend had to Come and help move everything with them. They did not even have a hand truck, box cutters or wardrobe boxes. My move took 9 hours for which we were charged $1300 to move only 9 blocks away and they refused to accept a credit card.. cash only. When I called to complain to the owner he was extremely volatile over the phone and threatened to keep all of my belongings on the truck and leave unless I immediately paid cash. I was horrified, stuck in an incredibly vulnerable position at that point and had no other choice but to pay.nnThese men are despicable and what they did was down right fraud let alone poor business practice. The men who physically moved us did not have experience and told us this happens all of the time since they’ve picked up shifts with the company for extra money. I am still extremely shaken up by this experience and want to make sure this never happens to anyone else. Again, please do yourself the favor and select a different company!!

It was the first time we hired a moving company and I have to admit, Hoboken Movers Inc. did an amazing job.nThey were very responsive to all our questions from the first time we asked for an estimate to the end. They also check during the move to make sure everything goes smoothly, which was great!nWe highly recommend them and will definitely work with them again! But hopefully, we will not move again soon!
