The apple picking is lovely. Love riding by tractor out to the fields. Cant picture going anywhere else for apples.nThe cost is dear tho. But you are paying for the experience.nUsed to love the rustic stores and the smell of cider donuts being made. This was the flavor of fall.nNew store seems to have sterilized the old place. More like a boutique orchard now. Not why I go to farms. Sad. But still a nice place.nIts just...AURGH!!!...Why cant we embrace farms for what they are?
Love their options of produce and whether you can pick your own or buy in farmers market. Events are lovely and always great for families with younger kids. They have a creamery there as well as food. My family travels over an hour every few weeks to go. It is well worth it.
I went to Applecrest to get a 40 lb bag of apples all peeled and cut to make a whole bunch of apple pies and they were fantastic! I've been getting my apples from them for years on Thanksgiving and they are always consistently good. They also have a beautiful market and a friendly staff. Thank you Applecrest for making my life a little easier during my Thanksgiving rush! Have a great Thanksgiving all!!! God bless!
First visit to Applecrest. Friendly and helpful staff. I was told the whoopie pies are tasty. The Contoocook Creamery milk sold here recently was not to usual standard albeit well within date. I am often suspicious of open dairy coolers as is found at this location.
Bought hermits again per special request of husband!! And ud83eudd66 broccoli tomorrow night veggie. And sourdough bread cannot wait to have tonite. Drive from Maine to visit a best friend and always stop at the farm in every season!!!
