I went in to west elm feeling indecisive on what fabrics to choose for a sectional. My salesman Lorenzo was beyond patient and extremely knowledgeable about the different fabric selections. He was honest and helped me choose one that will be suitable for a family with kids. I appreciate how many swatches he brought out. It took a bit to decide. I’mnCalling back to place the order this week. I just am so grateful to have such a kind a patient person helping. He never once rushed me. I really appreciate having a local West Elm to stroll into and actually check out what I'm looking to buy before purchasing. West Elm has a pricey tag on all of their stuff because of the quality of their items. Because of that price tag it isn't always easy to order online just to find out you don't like the item as much when you get it. I also appreciate skipping the shipping length nightmare from the West Elm website and just grabbing something from the store instead. Staff was nice and helpful when I walked in the door today. Fairly knowledgeable on to European flax linen sheets I went to buy. Will be headed back here for the duvet here soon.

See updated review below 4-2-2021.nnI should have checked the reviews before ordering. One item won't arrive til the end of July (it is end of March & small items) They charge outrageous shipping charges and delivery is months away. I tried to cancel order. No luck. Read the reviews BEFORE you order!!!nn4-2-2021 Update: one item arrived, very well packaged and I must admit...the item is beautiful & the price is incredible.

Same experiences others have had with online ordering (not with the actual store): I ordered a carpet on 12/20 and got an order confirmation saying it would arrive between the end of December and early January. I called customer service multiple times throughout January and February and got conflicting information, and the estimated delivery date kept changing, from January to early February to late February and now to late March. UPDATE: I did get my order at the end of March. The timeline wouldn't have been insane given general delays during covid but I wish the original estimate I was given had been more accurate. That would have been less frustrating. Bright side: West elm did send me a small credit to use.

truly the worst experience I could have possibly had as a new homeowner looking to furnish my house. My wife and I have called them (without exaggeration) 10 times and our items which were ordered in October are still no closer to being here. Every call we are given a different answer, no exact delivery. No idea even if our items actually exist in a warehouse somewhere or are being made still.nTruly a disaster of a business and does not deserve anyone's patronage.
