The retail store is closed after a storm, but I suspect that Office Depot was planning to close this location anyway. About 10 days before the tornado I purchased a printer, and then tried to return it without having opened it. The store refused to accept the return and insisted I had to contact OD customer support to have it picked up at my home for return shipping. Further more, in violation of the company’s stated rules, they would not refund to my credit card, but told me I would be sent a check. They now tell me that the check will take several more weeks, which means that IF it arrives the refund would have taken about two months. I’m afraid that OD might declare bankruptcy before I receive the check since the company is in bad shape. It appears that the Richmond store has been vacated and I’m told that employees are not being paid, so don’t hold your breath until the store reopens.
