A small, picturesque roadside cemetery, near a wooded copse and historic one-room schoolhouse. Many of my mother's family members are buried here. We just buried my father here as well, my first visit back in several years. I plan to go a lot more often, every time I visit my hometown nearby. The schoolhouse is still used as a field trip location for elementary school students, a decades-old tradition in the local school district. Kids experience what a whole day of learning was like in olden days, with dipped ink pens, a real blackboard, and fixed wooden desks.
