I usually enjoy going to Panera at the Mall. Recently, however, the service and other aspects of the restaurant seem to have dropped off a bit. We arrived and, although the manager and another employee were standing there and saw us, they did not come to the unmanned register to take our order. We waited several minutes until someone finally came out and took our order. I ordered soup and it was tasty and ready in a very reasonable amount of time. The soup, however, was just warm at best. When mentioned it to the staff we were told that they're all set at the same temperature. No offer to make it better or put it in the microwave (if that was a possibility). So I had Luke warm soup. Also the music used to be nice quiet instrumental music. You could go there and hold a reasonable conversation. Now the music is some sort of pop genre that is played so loud that it is hard to have a comfortable conversation. It would be nice if ALL restaurants went to instrumental music. I don't go out to eat to be entertained by the piped in music. I go out to enjoy a meal w/ family and friends and be able to converse w/o having to raise my voice. The food is good, it's just not hot and the service has seemed to have slipped from what it used to be.

Panera bread is one of my favorite spot. My only complaint is the pastries are not always fresh. I like there cinnamon rolls but I have bought over 3 hard cinnamon rolls from this location and I was highly disappointed. I won't purchase them from this location again. They are about $6 a piece. Just warn your customers if they are not fresh because I did ask before ordering. Annoyed.

Yummy food out of the usual, fast service. But management, please add guiche to your lunch menu as well!

Very laid back, as usual. Turkey chili and grilled cheese. Great on a day like today...a nip in the air and changing leaves.
