The Island is my favorite place for a staycation. I visit one week every month during the summer and fall. I love feeding the deer. Some of the permanent residents have become my dear friends. Lylene's (the restaurant) is usually open Thursday through Sunday. It's so relaxing. It's the perfect quick getaway with the most beautiful sunsets.

Arrived on a Friday night pretty late but was worth it when there was large families of deer all over the island. They are not kidding when they said you will see deer here they are all over during the night and early morning. Most of them wont even move until your almost in petting distance. The room was clean and amazing home feeling when we walked in but the only down side was that the bed felt like I was sleeping on the floor.

Very beautiful community lots of rolling hills and nature to see I definitely recommend anyone to stay here
