Not RecommendednnMy experience started out great with the sales woman, Cheryl, unfortunately the friendly service ended after I swiped my credit card. I purchased a couch and delivery was scheduled for the next day. The delivery team arrived the next day as expected but refused to enter my home unless all occupants were wearing masks. “No mask, No couch.”Unfortunately for them, they do not get to call the shots in my house. They reloaded the couch and left my driveway. I called the store and spoke with the manager, Brian, who was less than friendly. Brian advised he would contact his delivery team and speak to them. A short time later the delivery team returned, rang the door bell and brought the couch inside our home with an awkward silence and horrible attitude. The delivery team then left without further incident. Brian never called me back as promised to follow up on this incident, so I decide to call him back and follow up. After 3 attempts I finally reached Brian and his less than friendly attitude. Brian did not offer any explanation, apology or follow up of any kind and instead bragged about being in business for 80 years and pointed out that I did not wear a mask while in his store. I explained to Brian that I would have been fine leaving his store if he approached me, however he nor his employees did, and I suspect this was because he didn’t want to lose a sale. Moral of this long and uneventful story is; If you like a delivery man showing up at your house with an attitude telling you that you need to wear a mask in your own house, then maybe Stuckey Furniture is the company for you, if you like enjoying the basic freedoms our country was founded on then you might consider shopping elsewhere. As for Stuckey Furniture, thanks for the comfy couch but you may want to reconsider your customer service approach and find some delivery personnel who aren’t afraid to encounter humans without masks.

Absolutely horrid customer service. They do not want to help you and are unprofessional in every aspect of their presentation and sales. The manager with his man ponytail is rude and useless. Does not help customers, doesn't want to help even when asked. He would just rather make excuses and blame the customers. Sales person was afraid she would lose her commission rather than ask her coworker, who was just chatting about and eating crackers nearby, for help. Well the manager didn't want to help out either, so the sales lady lost her commission and the store lost what would have been an easy sale. Everything was on the floor. Never again.

I ordered my couch in July 2020 and as of today I still do not have it. When I put down a deposit that day, I was told the usual expected wait time was 8-10 weeks but due to COVID19 a more realistic expectation would be 12 weeks. Fast forward 11 weeks later - I call the store to check the status and am told that the manufacturer (Klaussner) is very delayed. The store employee looked in the system and said there was no ETA posted for my couch and not to expect it before January. Fast forward to the end of December/January - I call Stuckey again and this time am told that the ETA is posted as being March 12th. Fast forward a third time - I call the store at the beginning of March to see what’s going on and am told my couch is not on the delivery manifest for the 12th. The women on the phone said the manufacturer is very delayed and it would be awhile. When I informed her it’s already been 31 weeks since I ordered the couch, she did not offer any alternatives or apologies, she just repeated the manufacturer was delayed and that was that. I called back later in the day to try and get more information. This time the manager, Brian, took my name and number and said he’d call back, which he did. He said the couch had been built and invoiced and that delivery from the manufacturer to Stuckey usually takes 1 week but is also delayed and averages 2-3 weeks. So that brings us to today - I called a fourth time and am told delivery to the store can take up to 4 weeks. Once again, the store employee did not bother to pull the order up on the computer and see what’s happening. I understand that COVID19 may cause delays and that Stuckey’s cannot control the manufacturer. But what Stuckey can do, in the 8 months I’ve been waiting, is be proactive about reaching out to their customer(s) to inform them of any delays and/or status updates, and potentially offer alternatives or additional compensation for having to wait an exorbitant amount of time. Especially since they’ve had money on hold the entire time. At the very least, whomever picks up the phone to answer the inquiry can seem somewhat sympathetic rather than completely indifferent with 0 desire to provide any sort of customer service.

Stuckey Furniture on Johnnie Dodds Boulevard in Mount Pleasant is a great place to shop for all things quality furniture and home items in one place. I really like their selection and displays available and you really get to experience and feel the furniture before purchasing. The staff here is wonderful and extremely helpful. If you need good furniture you should stop by here.
