reached out to a local, beginning business, because I knew the Dalton Harvey, to remodel my kids room after it flooded from my old water heater. I paid him to rip out carpet in cash. I bought paint, flooring, the padding and trim. He said the labor would be $400. He asked me for $200 to get supplies he needed and I gave it to him. He painted and put up some of the trim, not all and now is refusing to finish the work and was demanding I pay him before it was done because for the 3rd time said he would be here at a certain time and then texted saying he would be hours late. So now I am left with most of the work not finished and out $200! My kids now don't have a room because he decided he didn't want to do the job! So, my kids have no room because he left it like this! I paid him $200 out of $400 for labor and this is what my kids are left with! I don't know what I am supposed to do now! I am a single mom with 3 kids and spent $1000 already for this job and this is what is I am left with!
