Great little bread shop and eatery. Always good customer service. The food has been really good. I am gluten free and there are two items that can be made gf, the yogurt bowl and the winter hash. I have had both several times and they are very good. The fresh fruit and honey on the granola is so tasty.nI have bought other items for my family and they have all said they were good. They also have cider.

First time eating at this place. Food was awesome. Had the egg sandwich and it didn't disappoint. Everyone was really friendly and patient; I'm from out of town and didn't know the menu, so it took me a while to order. When I'm in the area, I will definitely make a detour to get something from here.

Eating out always runs the risk of disappointment when someone else is cooking for you. The food has always been tasty to me, but my husband has had quite a few let downs. But “swinging and missing” is not the issue, it’s the lack of customer service. The vibes with Union are not warm, or at the least, friendly. I’ve eaten here many times, and cannot remember once being greeted with a smile. It’s too bad, because the food and pastries are really good. But running a successful business goes beyond the product. The energy of this place is pretty pretentious, and the demeanor of the staff does not reflect the political signage they display. Hopefully this review can ignite some positive change for future customers.

One of my fav spots in Raleigh. Innovative, delicious, consistent, and amazing service. They do things the right way! Always happy to support them and please if you have not been there yet then do so ASAP!

We got lunch from here a few months ago. I thought I had submitted a review then, but apparently it didn’t work. Anyway, the two sandwiches we got were extremely disappointing. I got the Union Egg Sandwich with bacon. It was so greasy and bland it ended up going in the trash. I literally couldn’t eat it. The bread was almost saturated in oil and biting into the bacon was like chewing on an oily rubber band. Everything was mushy and sinuous.
