As an adult re-learner I have to say that I couldn’t have imagined what could be accomplished in only 3 months back at the piano under the direction of Armen. As a child, I had learned to read read music and play what I was reading. With Armen, simply reading and playing is not a enough, he pushes me to develop an understanding of music. While I am still far from the goal, I leave every lesson with a better understanding of music theory, history or both. Also, Armen seems to have a much better understanding of what I’m capable of playing than I do, and because of this, I’m playing far more complicated pieces than I ever thought possible. I can’t speak highly enough of Armen’s expertise or his ability and passion to develop this knowledge in his students.
Often, we hear the term “good, better and best.” Armen is the best music teacher I have had the privilege to learn from. To receive guidance from a master artist is a rare opportunity. If circumstances allow for you to engage Armen as your teacher, don’t hesitate.
We feel so blessed to have Armen as a piano teacher! He has the ability to push my son yet he uses kindness and positive motivation. My son’s piano knowledge has increased immensely. He now understands beyond the basics because of how Armen teaches. Armen has given him the opportunity to attend piano symposiums in Europe and he encourages him to perform as much as possible. He’s also willing to let my son choose songs he enjoys playing and wants to learn. We are so happy with Armen!
Armen is a patient and dedicated teacher. He is also very understanding of life's other commitments. That's not to say he's easy--he will assess your strengths, weaknesses, and goals, and push you toward achieving what you want to get out of learning music. He is wickedly talented himself, so I would recommend him whether you're just starting out, improving your intermediate skills, or considering a career in piano.
Armen has been teaching three of my children for two years. I am thrilled with the progress they have made! Armen is very thorough; he makes sure the kids learn each concept before moving on to something new. Armen is knowledgeable, extremely talented and professional. My kids consistently progress and they are gaining confidence from the encouragement Armen provides. He works well with each of my children, who all require patience and different methods of teaching. I am so excited that we have found him! He teaches lessons in my home, which is a huge benefit due to my crazy schedule.
