Where do I start! My Fiancé and I searched all across Raleigh for someone to make our wedding cake when we happened to stumble upon Capital Cakes. We wanted a wedding cake that was not only beautiful but delicious as well. Katelyn was so easy to work with and is an amazing baker with whom you can tell puts her all in to her creations! Our wedding cake not only looked amazing but tasted amazing as well. Our guest could not stop telling us how much they enjoyed the wedding cake. We will definitely be reaching back out to Capital Cakes in the future.

My dad got his birthday cake here and it was just a wonderful experience. The cake tasted fantastic and looked amazing. They did a terrific job of understanding what he wanted and improving on the idea.

She works wonders! I ordered a very detailed designer Louis Vuitton themed cake and it turned out amazing! The cake was the perfect texture as well! As a business owner she prioritizes her customers wants and satisfaction! Not to mention she is super flexible and understanding! The service is also amazing, her response time takes no more than 10 mins. I initially just knew that I wanted a Louis Vuitton themed cakes and she spent about an hour just talking me through things and helping me design the cake. This was 100% the best experience I’ve had when it comes down to customer service, I will be ordering any cake I need from her!

We hired Katelyn to make our wedding cake and cupcakes for our November 2020 wedding after meeting her at the local bridal show. Each time we got to sample her product, we were blown away at how high quality and delicious they were! She offers so many flavor options for both the cake and frostings that we were able to fully customize our choices. We decided on a lemon cake with raspberry jam for our cutting cake and cupcakes with three different flavors (lemon with raspberry buttercream, peach cobbler cake with apricot butter cream, and apple pie cake with cinnamon frosting and caramel drizzle). Everyone RAVED at how delicious they were! We even booked her again for my friend's 25th birthday cake! Through the whole process she was super responsive and even kept us updated when she made minor recipe changes to ensure it was still what we were looking for! I highly recommend her as a baker for any event!

Katelyn was awesome and did a fantastic job on our wedding cake! The tasting was done professionally and was everything we expected and more. She took our concept and made it a reality, then finished it beautifully with the flowers. Setup was flawless and landed perfectly on time. And best of all, the taste was amazing! Everyone raved about it!
