I must say that being his nephew Brian, he has blessed me in more ways than I can type in here. But all the teaching he did as I was growing up is priceless in value! Mr. Briggs has always done an impeccable job, forever scrutinizing his own work. His working ethic is the best that my life has ever witnessed, bar none! To drop a few names of people he has made furniture for goes like this >(Architect Frank Lloyd Wright, and Minister Billy Graham), just to name a few. Mr. Briggs was taught by his own father when he was yet a young boy. His talents also include, upholstering, refinishing most any type of wood and furniture, my Uncle can do it. If quality is your gain, then the search is over, He is able to serve those fortunate enough to garner his attention and time on your personal projects and ideas. Besides, I am VERY prejudice towards my Wonderfully Talented Uncle Stanley, at 87 years strong and for 56 years owning his own business and doing what his hands do BEST, he is the man for the job well done!

this place was beyond amazing mr. Briggs is a master Craftsman. Unfortunately at the age of 92 he's soon-to-be bringing his shop to a close.

I have not had a pleasant experience with Mr. Briggs. I think in his elder year he spends more time telling about what he has done and who he has worked for than actually working. I had a dining table and chairs repaired and refinished. The wood work was fine but the finish was terrible and uneven. He also worked on a small telephone table, and it was not done at all well. I'm sure he has a wealth of knowledge, but I don't think his current work rises to the level of what he used to do. Maybe it's just eyesight. He does get very defensive and angry if you point out issues with his work.
