Update 3/10/2020nOne Sunday at night I entered to the site just because and luckily the was ONE spot for the Monday (the day after) at 9AM. I had all the documentation ready so I took it and drove to Boston next morning.nnUpdating from 1 to 3 stars because the people who work there are really nice and efficient. But the experience booking the appointment was awful.nnFirst ReviewnnI have been trying to get an appointment since last week of October. Since then I have been checking EVERY day (no kidding) a couple of times a day and have never seen a single appointment available. I contacted them around 3 or 4 times through email and always received the same copied and pasted answer same that appointments would open by the end of the following week and that the only way to get one is online. Do not go without one. They don't answer the phone.nnI went to Italy this same year and the process at their consulate was so smooth, so simple, easy to get an appointment, easy to drop the documents and pick up the passport, the whole thing was a nice experience.nnWhat is worst with this Spain consulate is that a very high percentage of people complain about the same and consulate authorities won't do anything. What a joke of consulate and service.

After my recent experience, I thought of writing it. Hopefully, it will help some.nAfter waiting for two months to book an appointment using the online portal, I almost gave up on my trip to Spain. With less than a month remain for travel, I decided to drive to the Consulate at Boston without the appointment. It was Friday and I reached right when the consulate opens. I went with all the documents. Talked to the person on the desk. He took my info. and asked me to wait and told me that they will look at all the documents. After a wait of hour and a half, it was all set.nSo here is the deal. If you have a travel coming up in a month or less than a month, and you can't get an appointment, just drive there to Boston with all your documents and they will take care of it.nThere was one more candidate besides me they took care of that day who came without an appointment.nThe people there are super nice.nHope this helps. Good luck.

Trying to schedule your appointment? Check at 2:40pm on Fridays. My husband and I had been checking for 2 whole months before he went in person to complain. He was actually told to check the site on Friday around 4pm. Luckily, we didn't believe it completely. We got super lucky to have checked it at this time because within 10 minutes, all 10 available slots were taken. Good luck you guys!

Updated review! My second email received a quick answer and fast follow up (maybe the first one got lost or I sent it to the wrong address). The people at the Consulate helped me in everything I needed and it was really a lot. I'm still half way of the process (COVID situation doesn't help) I don't understand why the Consulate can't be more independent and do his own passports process here instead of having the need to send it to Spain and wait for everything to come back (Burocracy+Covid=long wait).nGood work and efficiency from the people at the Consulate in Boston.

the website is extremely unhelpful because bookings are ALWAYS full. Staff are no helpful and not friendly.
