My sister and I visited today to visit our sisters grave. We were greeted by the most pleasant lady working in the building! What a lovely person to have on staff. Thank you for your hospitality on a sad day.
Every year during the Christmas season there is a laying of wreath ceremony. Families are encouraged to lay wreaths for the service numbers who have passed on. You can bring your own donate them or use wreaths provided. The ceremony gives family members the opportunity to visit and celebrate holidays with their loved ones while honoring the time-honored tradition of the wreath-laying laying ceremony.
My parents and my brother are buried here. We visit often, and in the midst of all the construction happening on the burial grounds, we do not mind clearing away weeds and placing new flowers. I miss my parents and my sibling, but God knew it was time.
Recently went to visit my dad's grave and it was disgraceful how dirty with green moss it was. And his wasn't the only one. I had NO idea this was possible and was heartbroken. Arlington Cemetery certainly does not look like this. How can this happen to the men and women who served for us!!!?
