I am a cellist with professional playing skills. I recently purchased a cello for personal use that was 21 years old, but had not been played for six years. I was quite familiar with the maker and knew the general condition of the instrument. But upon receiving the instrument, I learned that the lower two strings lacked focus and the upper two did not have the zing I required.nnFifteen minutes with Mr. Alfaro was all it took for him to diagnose the situation. After a neck raise, a higher soundpost, and a higher bridge were installed , the cello roared back to the life I knew it had in it.nnUpon receiving the instrument back again, Pablo took the time to explain to me the physics of why the cello needed the work it did. He did so in such a manner that I completely understood how the changes were made and why they were necessary.nnThis is my third time that I have visited Alfaro Violins, coming to his shop from several hours away. He does excellent work and I highly recommend him. As well, his shop is conveniently located close to the I-85 / I-285 interchange on the east side of the Atlanta metro area.

Pablo is just the best. I never leave his shop worried about my violin. His pricing is fair and his work is incredible. I have known Pablo for years and had all sorts of work done - from fixing cracks to taking the top off. If you need work in GA, he’s definitely worth the visit!

I would highly recommend Pablo, as he is incredibly knowledgeable and talented, while still being affordable. Not only are his own instruments beautiful in appearance and sound, but he also does an excellent job with repairs. I've always left his shop with my instrument sounding at its best.

Mr. Alfaro was a joy to speak to! He treats you very kindly and can fix any violin problem big or small. I came to him with a low end violin I ended up with from Ebay and he restored it and made it come to life! I can't say enough about Mr. Alfaro and his shop. Thank you!

Pablo Alfaro is absolutely an artist.....the repair he did just magically disappeared. You really pay for what you get. With Pablo your instrument will be a canvas for his absolute excellent artistry. I promise you will not be disappointed. Well worth the money spent. I highly recommend him.
