I cannot say enough about the kind and warm treatment we received from both Kelli and Lacee at Sunset Funeral Home. This was a sudden event and these ladies took EVERY call we made and made us feel secure in our decisions. Lacee answered all my questions regarding my mother-in-laws wishes and has even followed up via text to check on us since the service.nI highly recommend Sunset for any services. They were thorough, accommodating, and extremely helpful & kind during our time of need.
So far giving one star I think is too much; it's been almost five years since my father's funeral and since they placed the marker or gravestone we've been having problems. They promised to fixed it but nothing happened. Then my mother passed away and they removed the gravestone and put a varnish coat on it but it got worse. Since June 2020, we've been waiting for the gravestone to be replaced. I have spoke with the assistant manager Kelly then with the general manager Brian. Today - 3 months later after his promised nothing has been done. They even removed the flowers we placed in our parents grave. It's been 5 years and still nothing. My family and I are upset with the outcome and do not recommend that anyone brings their love ones .
The funeral home is very nice, spacious and clean. The staff is very professional, kind and caring. Funeral directors Julie & Lacey are amazing people, they were very attentive and took the time to explain everything and answer all of our questions. They went above and beyond to make my mom's funeral very easy and beautiful. The cemetery ground is nice, clean and well kept. Thank you for all of your help and excellent service.
Interesting cemetery with a little bit of everything to offer. There is a lot of diverity here and you could spend all day exploring the place. We came here to check out the grave of Grady Stiles Jr., AKA Lobster Boy. He is located in the Showman's Rest section of the cemetery, not to be confused with Showman's Rest Cemetery in Tampa Heights.
When it comes to a true personal touch and exquisite care and guidance throughout the loss and grieving process, this funeral home, —and specifically their representative Anthony Fiacco, — was a godsend. My family and I are very thankful and pleased. Definitely recommended.
