I have always had great experiences here whether working with Amanda, Cathy, her husband or the seamstresses. Amanda is very patient when working with me, giving time to look through all options and make the best decision. She is cognizant of my budget at all times as well, which is great for an industry such as this where fabric can be very expensive. I highly recommend Custom Sewing.
I had Cathy put honeycomb thermal sliding drapes across the openings to my sunroom. When open they are about 2” in depth. When closed, I was amazed at the temperature difference between the main house and the sunroom these first chilly mornings! I’m looking forward to my electric bill this month...there should be a noticeable difference!
Uneven stitching, bulging seams and corners, fabric covered in dog hair.
I recently had cushions re-stuffed at Cathy Mares. While the quality of their work was good, the customer service was anything but. Due to the very poor customer service and the extremely rude attitude of the woman at the front desk, I will never be using this business again. Each time I encountered her she was extremely belittling and very unfriendly. I feel certain that I can find someone in the area that can offer both quality work and treat their customers kindly and with respect. A paying customer should not have to choose between one or the other.
We were really happy with the curtains she made for us. Constructed really well and installed professionally. Made a huge difference in our room. Thanks Cathy!
