Colonial movers told me they had plenty of experience loading pods and to have furniture pads and tie downs available for loading which we did. When our pod was delivered we were mortified to find they only tied down the piece of furniture at the end of the pod (the one visible to us) and only wrapped the furniture when we were watching. Our most expensive pieces of furniture did not have any sort of pad or protection and every piece of furniture had fallen onto each other because nothing was tied down. We had returned pads and tie downs so their were plenty available the movers just chose not to use them. They also loaded our boxes marked fragile at the bottom of the pile and they were crushed. We tried multiple times to reach out to the company. The called back once asking for us to submit pictures and told me they would send insurance information. They only sent something saying they had insurance and gave no contact information to an insurance company for us to contact seeing as how almost everything we own was damaged in some way due to their lack of tie downs and furniture pads. I haven’t heard back from the company since. I often read one star reviews and think the reviewer may be exaggerating so I have attached pictures for reference. Use someone else who will treat your belongings with care. Or at the very least return your phone calls for insurance requests when they don’t.
