We have been tring to cancel service sence January. I have called at least 7 times over the last 3 months to cancel the service. The system is experincing strange falts and ararms randely for the last 4 months and they want me to pay for a service call plus parts on top to the $45.00 a month.nIt just time to change to cheaper service.. But they keep billing and billing and billing. it's like ground hog day rides again. I do NOT recomend useing ADT or Protection one because you can't get them to sop billing.

Terrible company, I was a valued customer since 2010 and had an upgrade in 2016. Paid every month via checking account. Apparently an early cancellation fee of over $700 is on the 12 page fine print, be aware of this scam. Tell them will not sign any paperwork unless there is a $0 cancellation fee.nnI will NOT recommend this company protection one or ADT to anyone. Avoid them if at all possible!!!!

I currently have Protection 1 with my company and at this moment won't be renewing with them once my contract is up. I've had their system for 1 year and I've had a repeated issue with sensors that consistently trigger phone calls to me (sometimes in the middle of the night) letting me know of this stupid error. They've come out numerous times and still haven't resolved the problem. Yet, they have been billing me for service charges that I'm also now currently having to resolve. The tech that comes out is super nice, but it's issue after issue with this system. I'll be moving on to another company.

We had a brake in yesterday in the afternoon, someone kicked down our door. The loser(s) walked in the areas of our sensors and BOTH of the sensors failed, no pictures were taken until police entered our house 30 min later. We called to get an emergency tech to come out, got everything cleared ( so we thought) to have someone come out with no charge but when we got a call from the tech he said he wouldn’t come out if we don’t pay for it. We are asked to pay extra for an error in the system we pay for on a monthly basis, that failed when we needed it the most? Our piece of mind is gone we are extremely disappointed in this company. Protection 1 what kind of assurance do you offer your customers? Sounds like all you care about is my money.

I have been a Protection One custormer for 21 years. Over the last 2 years I have had more problems with their service than the previous 18. A year ago at 2:30am I awoke to my house alarm blaring. I got up and turned it off and waitied for a call from Protection One to make sure all was OK. I didn't get a call until 15-20 minutes later. Thank goodness a burglar wasn't in the house. I asked why it took so long to be called back and she told me she would have a supervisor call me. They never called so after a couple days I called them and a supervisor had a tech come to the house. I needed a new battery installed. A company who specailizes in customer protection should be diligent and concerned enough to follow through on their promises.nnLast month my neighbor called to tell me my alarm was going off. I called Protection One and asked why I hadn't been notified about my alarm? They said they had no record of the alarm and it was probably my neighbors alarm that was sounding. I said my neighbor is the one who called me about the alarm!!! They did have a record of the alarm being turned off. Again, protection is only as good as the company providing the service.nnI called to cancel my service today and was told that I was under a 5 year contract until 9/23/20. To get out of the contract I would have to pay $750. I have no recollection of a contract with them. After 21 years of loyalty to this company this is their response. BUYER BEWARE! Protection One's bottom line is getting their money and the heck with customer service.
