Moffat Road Railroad Museum

We try and take our kids down to see the layout every Christmas. This year we went and turns out they had a special guest...Santa and 2 of his reindeer. Needless to say it was great to see Santa and for the boys to get to have a seat and talk with him.nnAfter a brief conversation regarding gifts, a few pictures, hugs and high fives from Santa we went to see the Christmas trains.nnThe trains are always fun for us and the boys. We got to see numerous trains travel around the O scale layout. We even did the scavenger hunt which helps you see the little details.nnThe 1923 wooden UP caboose has been restored and we were able to walk in and check it out. The gift shop looks great and every staff member/volunteer we talked with were friendly and helpful.nnThe museum is looking great! They are growing and adding new pieces of railroad hisorty. What a great attraction to our town. Get for locals and tourists alike. Keep up the great work!

It is a great way to spend an hour or two. We live in Granby and go every year around Christmas. It's great anytime, but that's when we like to visit. The people are great. And the trains are mesmerizing!

Temporarily closed until the start of summer, but what a place to be! Fun for kids and adults alike, lots to look at and explore, the Christmas season is always magical too.
