Very bureaucratic and inflexible. My experience in other countries was much better. Not being told there is a money order requirement beforehand is a major problem nor disclosing costs before an appointment.

It's an odd experience being here. I have personally never encountered too many issues. Everything is beurocratic and by the book. If you follow all the correct instructions for your applications, your appointments etc you should not have any issues. They are not fast or flexible here, expect short delays.nThat being said, every time I come here I talk to other people who are living through personal hell. Unhelpful staff, unclear guidelines, difficult situations. Consular staff isn't willing to help people in actual need, so if you're in a hurry, have a problem or need flexibility or help, you may be out of luck.

This place is the worst and there is no way to get hold of the office to talk with someone on the phone, you will be on hold forever. If you renew your passport , they will not mail it to you by mail, you have to travel to drop off the paperwork ( 15 min ) , and than travel back to pick up the passport, basically paying for the flight , and hotel just to come for 5 min and sign for the passport, even during COVID they would not accommodate for elderly people to mail the passport back so they do not have to travel. The most stupid system ever, rude people, makes you feel like back in the soviet union days!
