I received the documents within a week

They will never answer your phone calls or respond to your emails. They need to hire better staff members. Worst experience ever.nWithout proper response from long time back I am loosing life here. Operation is not good and No one is responding to the emails and phone call. No help nothing, come into the real world and talk with general people you will come to know the issues facing here. You guys always interact with higher officials(VIPs) not general people. literally facing lots of issue here with the SFO Consulate compared to other consulate and other county consulates. Very Very bad experience I am facing with this consulate. I would like to rate below zero

Update: BBB couldn't get a hold of them either , I also sent them a letter in the mail, and got no response. This place is junk.nnI went ahead and submitted a complaint BBB,nSo I am a active duty member. I visited the consulate of India to assist my brother getting an emergency visa. The consulate on their website states there is a walk in and no appointment needed. Many people were in line for the same reason as us. Due to an emergency illness, we needed a emergency visa. The customer service was very rude, did not give us correct information, and has different information listed online, we called them plenty of times, and they did not answer. They have a fax number which they do not respond too. There were many angry customers driving long ways and have the same situation they are facing. I asked one of the members to give me just proper information so I can mail it to the correct place since the website says another thing, and the employees are saying another address. They refused to help me and the other customers leaving us dumb founded. I am flying back to fort Bragg North Carolina tomorrow and I feel immensely upset not being able to help my family member to get correct and proper directions for his emergency visa to visit his mother in law who is terribly sick.

We had medical emergency and we had expired passport. Once they understood our problem - Consulate team members reached out to us for the list of missing documents. We drove to consulate with correct set of documents and after few hours of waiting got the passport. Consulate employees stretched past their work time of stated 6pm.nnWith timely help from consulate, my wife could spend few hours with her dad before he bid Goodbye. Thank you for your timely help.

Great service. Really appreciate all your support. I got my moms emergency in 1hr. We flew from Utah to SFO to get an emergency visa. Filled the app online at 2am flew at 7am and was at the embassy at 10:30am and explained them the situation. We told them we are trying to get her on a flight in the afternoon. They got our visa in 1hrs. Really thank full !!! Excellent and respectful people !!!
