The employees at this consulate are knowledgeable, empathetic and professional. They helped our family with an emergency passport and were very effective with our time. Highly recommend.

I had my passport stolen sadly in San Fran. The staff at this embassy where very pleasant and easy to deal with. I had to get an emergency passport to travel home. This is an all day exercise and the patience is required , however the office will do their best to accomodate everyone.

Went to get an emergency passport (due to a six month passport validity requirement that I'd never heard of for certain countries) and was issued one next day. Staff are very helpful and understanding. Note that it seems the busiest time of day is 9AM, if you visit any other time of day there's usually no lines but everyone seems to think getting there first thing is a good idea!

I needed an emergency passport replacement to travel in two days, and I also needed to get a visa chop in that passport before leaving. Ken was genial as he described the process, and I felt that he made every effort to make sure that I was able to get the passport in time for getting my visa, even though official timelines would have it that it would not be possible to do. I really appreciate the work ethic of the staff here. NOTE: when entering, report to the security desk in the lobby, and tell the guard that you want to visit the Australian consulate. He'll sign you in, escort you to the elevator, and use a pass to allow getting off on the correct floor. Turn left when exiting the elevator.
