Don't really understand some of the high reviews here but fully agree with the ones who mention about the rude staff. Extremely unprofessional and unwelcoming. Sounded like I was bothering her by just being in the same space as her. I believe she is a local (American) hire. If so, she needs more training. Being treated rudely by a non-Singaporean in my own Consulate is extremely off-putting. Do better. Emails are also either replied late or not at all.

Once I thought I had lost my passport. Another time my passport expired and I needed a traveling document to fly back to Singapore. On both occasions, the consulate was extremely kind and helpful. They responded to my calls promptly during and after office hours, and gave me immediate assistance. At the consulate office, staff were nice and professional. Their help eased my mind and travels, for which I am very grateful.

The middle-aged lady staff is not friendly nor empathy to the loss of my passport due to break-in to my car. She sounds impatient to answer questions. The good thing I get my DOI within 3 hours.

I was happy with my passport renewal service. Staff were friendly and answered my calls and emails swiftly. The lady officer went extra miles by writing to ICA in Singapore to explain my petition. This level of efficiency and helpfulness of government service is hard to find in the US.
