Skyline Bear Valley Resort

Brilliant, local mountain that is huge and isn't over crowded!nnAre you tired of the Tahoe exclusivity, crowded lifts, and general snobbery with those uptight mountains? Then bear valley is for you!nnAwesome runs, plenty of tracks for people to spread out, friendly staff, good cafe, reasonable pricing. There is something here for everyone at all skill levels.nnI took some advanced snowboard lessons here, mad chill and affordable. Great place to learn.nnAs much as I want to keep this place a secret, I need to support. the world needs to know about bear valley!

A lot was shut down or limited because of pandemic protocols. But everything you need to rent, take lessons, and have a ton of fun skiing is there. Food areas allow you to order and eat both in and outside with distance and time limits. Place is beautiful and all levels of ski/board runs.

Really great skiing close to the bay area. This resort probably has the best beginner slopes around, some nice steep moguls for the brave, a few good windy blue squares you can cruise down all day, quick chair lifts on both the front and back side of the mountain, and really spectacular views. It was not crowded at all. The runs are a bit short but it was perfect for a quick weekend trip.

Great place with wonderful and friendly staff. Social distancing measures were in place and it was a great outing. It was great to get out on the slopes and enjoy our day.

A slope for every level of experience. Good snow and friendly staff. pack your own snacks the food is pricey.
