Consulate General of Bangladesh

I went to the Bangladesh Consulate in Queens at 9:00 am this morning for my NVR in my new British passport, and by 11:30am I had my visa ready. I had a great experience processing my visa today. Just want to reach out to all the staff at the counter and at the reception area, they were polite, and professional. They showed me where to get the money order, given me the correct form on arrival, and had my visa ready in just over an hour! What else would one ask for when at a consulate? Requesting all the visitors to be kind, and respectful to the staff there, because they are all doing their job to best of their ability to help our citizens, so please be patient. Many thanks!

I would give this a zero star if i had the option. Horrible customer service. These people have zero respect for the clients time and effort. They don’t even have the normal decency to apologize for any inconvenience they have caused. They need to hire new trained and professional people who knows how to work in places like this. Such disgrace for Bangladesh. They really managed to maintain Bangladeshi standards here in the states.

Their 18th-century websitenWhen my friends ask me, hey let’s go visit your country first thing comes to my mind oh they need a Visa which means their first impression will be really bad.nEmployees are very rude I will say most of them are not qualified to do the job. They take this job for granted. They need training sessions on how to represent and show our beautiful country and hospitality.nThey have an emergency email and a phone number on the website but they never answer either of them. Fees like they don’t understand what’s the emergency means.

I have lost my both passport in the mail and was running around for 2-3 weeks to figure out what happened. But the consulate people really helped me a lot to apply for a new one. Hopefully I will receive it faster than regular processing time. I’m great full to all The workers/officers. They are not bad people. We have to change our perspective of looking at things.

Fortunately I had a good experience during my visit today. The staffs were helpful and cordial. Got my paperwork done without delay.nnHowever, they need more digitization for the paperworks. For example, it would reduce the process time and increase accuracy if we were allowed to submit supporting documents online.
