Consulate General of Guatemala

The staff that first greets you are not friendly at all, but as you go in they are a bit nicer, but the lady who took my photo was very rude when taking my picture and had very snarky remarks about my earrings and nose rings. Its been about a month and two weeks now and i called to see the status on my Passport and they said it takes 6 months! 6 Months!! to get a updated passport!! that is ridiculous. All my plans for traveling and everything are now gonna be pushed back 6 months! I don't understand why it would take so long. I just can't understand why 6 months is a reasonable waiting time for a little booklet.

I came back 4/7/21 with 2 clients from Iowa and they came out so glad and happy, thank you guys for that awesome work and big change from a few weeks behind.

Need to improve communicating when they are open and closed and follow through on passport renewals. Recommendations is have the correct hours posted and follow thru on keeping promises. We came today and we were looking forward to receive the passport. They were listed as open but didn't open! Also, note there were other people who traveled to the consulate, they too are disappointed that they couldn't get help either! What a great example showing its citizens good leadership! We been waiting for the passports, since, December 2018. Please, help us making sure the correct hours are posted so other people don't have to waste their time nor day!
