Wait, hold on. Is it the type of service you guys give?nBefore sending the passport you guys were so quick to reply and now that I paid $245 to renew a passport I cannot reach anyone.nI just lost a trip to Tijuana this weekend, was not important no biggie, I have a trip planned for Dubai in 1 week and still haven't heard anything.nI was supposed to read the reviews first knowing what I was getting myself into.nnNou gen yon vye system nan bwat leta Haiti epi nou reprodui li kote nou ye a la !! Mpanse nou ta pi bon ke sa.nnI just want to lose my trip for that reason so my lawyer can get in touch.nnLets connect anyone that had a bad experience with them. IG: masterlipworldwide

They are the worst don’t go there, they steal your money. I payed $245 to get my passport in 5 days it’s been a month I never received anything. And they don’t want to give me the money back. I should just pay $145 for the passport. Please don’t go there.

This place has ZERO customer service skills and do not follow up nor keep their word. I started my passport application March 2020 and a gentleman named Yuri was assisting me with the process. He wasn’t good at following up, but every time I called asking for him he would help the best he can. I was told I needed to get a birth certificate extract since my passport expired 10+ years ago and Yuri assigned someone to help me with the process, can’t recall his name but he NEVER called or followed up with me. I think I called the Chicago office once a week to get updates. Finally Yuri said everything was filed and I’ll get an email to make an additional $100 payment for the extract.nnCOVID-19 hit and office closed and therefore everything was paused. I called them in June or July and spoke with a lady who advised me Yuri wasn’t in office and to call back another time. I called a week later and lady told me same thing as before. I called again the following week and a lady advise Yuri has been on vacation and isn’t sure when he will be back and he is the only one who can check my account (why didn’t the first two ladies tell me he was on vacation? No idea, once again poor customer service and communication skills).nnI called the office again in September and lady stated Yuri is no longer in the Chicago office and he now works in the Washington location and she transferred me to some other guy to work on my application. The guy was also ZERO help. He basically said he doesn’t know what’s going on with my application and he will follow up with me in a week. Of course a week later, I get no call from sir. So I call them again and the guy said he still doesn’t know what’s going on with my application and to take down Yuri’s cell phone number and to ask him. In my opinion that’s super unprofessional. I didn’t think it appropriate to call his cell phone. So here we are 12/23/2020 still no passport, no update and no money back... they also stopped picking up my calls.nnThis office needs to fire every single employee and start fresh with people who have customer service experience, speak the languages on the automated system which is English, French and Creole... also make sure they follow up with callers within 24-48 hours and actually listen to their voicemail... machine is always full. The ppl in this office are getting paid to not answer the phone... or if they do answer you’ll get a “let me transfer you” “idk” or “I will have him/her call you back”.

Out of 14 reviews of the Haitian Consulate in Chicago, 12 give the mission the worst review ever read on Google. This is a shame considering a country that is struggling with everything. I call that office today to inquire about renewing my passport; quite frankly the rude woman who answers the phone is a disgrace for the mission and certainly do not make us feel proud to be Haitians. I see the frustration of the few people decide to write a review and I share their view point. When will the Haitians start cleaning their acts. There is nothing good about the service. The woman is rude, unprofessional, unqualified, incompetent, sloppy, arrogant, uninformed, lack customer service and is undoubtedly ugly like hell. After letting the phone ring 25 times, she answers the said she does not speak English. What are you doing working in a consulate in the United States and you don't speak English. Who puts her the first place. I know sometime, the put them there to make a few bucks. In Haiti, they call them zombie employee, and there is a lot of them in the Haitian public sector. But don't bring them here where they have to deal with high class Haitians who know customer service and not afraid to raise hell with them.nnI had to personally send a letter to the General Consul and ask to please review the comments on Google, because it appears that they don't know about internet reviewsnnThe General Consul needs to do some clean up and restore the integrity of the mission. Because if all Haitians decide to become citizens of another country, it will be that country's gain and Haiti's loss of revenue.nnGet your act together.

I am wondering if the people that works over there know what they are doing. It took almost 2 hours for the consul to type a letter. The service over there it's nust back home. I pray to God that I don't have to ever need they service.
