Goodwill

This place is a joke. You donate things you no longer need and they sell it for full retail. No more helping the needy. That stuff is long gone. Dog poop and bedbug couch for $ 500.

I usually like shopping at goodwill because of the treasures that I find but the employees have always turned me off. Typically the employees are rude but I’ve always made excuses for them, like how they are probably stressed college students etc; however, this time around I will not. After convincing my sister that goodwill has great secondhand toys for children, we took my nephew to Goodwill to buy a “prize.” The employees at this goodwill, however rude I expected them to be, I wasn’t expecting them to be outright disrespectful. As we’re in the store, an employee stops my 3 year old nephew to yell at him to “stop running!” While this may be effective, I personally, find it more respectful to talk to an adult that way, especially when it concerns a toddler, but the employee thought otherwise. After the initial confrontation and while we’re at the register, the adult proceeds to tell us that we need to watch our children. There are three adults with one toddler who was well watched over; therefore, the adult employee felt the need to additionally be rude and turn our business away. As I’ve said before, I have always thought the employees were rude, but I never believed it would come to being rude to a toddler, who doesn’t even understand what’s being said . No one should talk to a toddler that way. If you have an issue, please talk to an adult. All in all, don’t bring your toddlers to Goodwill unless you’d like to strap them into a buggy or have them be yelled at by an employee.

I got some shirts just for the purpose of using the fabric to make other things. I'll make a throw pillow cover from a custom western blouse, a house dress from a men's tall shirt.
