My husband and I stayed at the Hampton last n on March 18,2021. We stayed in Room 108. The room was ok and we slept alright but when we woke up the next morning, we both had but marks at least four or five. We wasn't sure what bit us. As the day went by it itch badly for at least two days. I bought some cream to relieve the itch which helped a lot. To this day the marks remains and the itch is not as bad. We decided it had to be bed bugs. The receptionist stated they were renovating so guests was placed on the first floor. I love the Hampton Inn but will not be staying at that one again.

Wonderful service. Clean and comfortable rooms. Has a mini gym, pool (closed due to COVID). In a conveinent location with a nearby Waffle House that is open 24 hrs. Gorgeous view (photo). Price is very affordable. Make a reservation.

A standard 1 or 2 night type of hotel. Looks pretty good on the outside and renovations being done as we speak. The issue we had was personnel. Several times in the 2 days we were there we were either ignored or treated almost rudely by the on duty desk person. Making the traveler feel welcome should be the number one priority of a hotel. No excuse to not look up from your phone if someone walks in or to answer with an irritated tone when a simple question is asked. We are very laid back travelers and are always friendly and polite to service workers. We expect the same courtesy.

Ok so this is actually a rating based fully on an employee. When we got to the hotel on March 12th, in the evening the employee gave us the room we chose. We had to go back to her and tell her that there was only bedding for 5 and we didn't realize there wasn't a pull out bed when we chose that room. she looked to see and there were no more rooms and no more rollaway beds at their hotel. She apologized profusely and told us she had only been there a couple of weeks. She asked a more seasoned employee for help and he just kind of rolled his eyes at us. She called multiple hotels in the area to see if she could get us a room for 5 And they were all sold out. She proceeded to call other areas. she finally got us into a Home2 Suites in West Ashley, SC which is right outside of Charleston. Is she even got them to honor the rate that we had at The Hampton (It was actually about $50 more a night at the home2 suites).nfrom what we could tell the hotel looked clean and the room we opened up also was clean.nBut the bottom line is this employee worked her tail off to make sure we were happy, with only a couple of weeks of experience under her belt we felt like she was worth a five-star review. We genuinely appreciate how hard she worked for us.

Well located close to St Helen's Island Bridge. It is under renovations.
