We bought our couches and chairs a couple years ago. The quality is high and the owner will give you his honest opinion. The sofas and chairs that I bought were Younger & Co and are made in NC. Not to mention, they were about half the price of very similar Serena & Lily sofas. The quality is leather on the chairs is unparalleled to anything you’ll buy at high-end retailers. There were a lot of fabric and leather options and it still look nearly brand new, even though we have the combo of young kids and teenagers on a light beige fabric all of the time.
Really helpful staff! Very affordable for the quality of product and costumer service.
This store is a gem! Durham is lucky to have such a special business with exceptional pieces. Whether you're looking to furnish a home or business, or needing a unique gift, this store will have you covered-- a must visit for designers and design-lovers.
This is why you should buy local. A leg came loose on our 5-year-old couch. We sought advice (just advice!) from @areamodernhome, where we bought it. Next thing we know, they are making a house call and replaced every leg at no charge. They provide a wonderful buying experience and now we know they stand behind their made-in-NC products too!
We received our custom made sofa 10 days after ordering it. We did a lot of research before we purchased and found Area to offer the best prices for the quality and still made in High Point NC!nWe originally purchased a sofa from Area in Greensboro over ten years ago and we were very happy to see they have a Durham location. The owner even delivered our sofa just as he did ten years ago.
