Great selection of international foods. However, beware: check the expiration dates on the products before purchasing! The store is not well organized and so quite a few items on the shelves are past their expiry date.nnThe fresh fruit and vegetable section is consistently fantastic - no expired goods in this section!
Not the cleanest store but they do have a lot of products from many countries. It’s been some time since I’ve been here but the last time I came the bottle of tea I bought was expired and I came to change it that’s all.
Look, Food World is a 5 star experience for some people and some purposes, but it is not for everyone. If you are looking for something strange, Korean, or just international, they may have it. The aisles are crammed with all kinds of goods, some in quantities that are inexplicable even for commercial purposes (e.g. - tubs of gojuchang large enough to compost in, gallon jars of kimchi). It is one of the few places in Durham that you can go and instantly feel as though you are in another country (although which country isn't quite clear). If you are looking for a sanitized neat clean grocery expedition with customer service reps, Food World is not for you. That's OK. Not everything is for everyone.

Whatever you do don't come here unless you plan to spend money on their personal mask because doesn't matter if you bring your own mask or a bandana or anything else you must buy their masks or they won't let you in
