Absolute worst utility company. They do no maintenance, everytime the wind blows the power blinks off. A gentle rain, power goes off. Trees have been allowed to grow up thru the lines, vines grow up the poles and over the power lines. Some of thepoles are dr rotted and the tops are breaking off from fatigue.

To pay your electric bill there are only two ways at this location. Drive through or kiosk. Lobby access is by appointment only. The drive through is relatively quick & staff are nice & efficient.

The wind just blew and the lights went out.nBecause. Why not.nThis is constant because why would we take care of infrastructure when bill stone needs a new car.

This has to be the absolute worst utility department there is. Our lights were just out approximately 20 hours after a storm that wasn't even that bad. Called multiple times, even relatives were calling for us. Multiple people in my household with breathing and health problems. Didn't matter to them. Now here's the kicker.. The only problem was 2 fuses on the ground that took about 5 minutes to fix. Let them know that, and it STILL took them about 7 hours to get the power back on. I'll likely end up having to throw away approximately $400 worth of food for their complete INCOMPETENCE. If you have the option to move somewhere else instead of somewhere that only HSUD supplies the electricity, take the other place. Seriously.nnLast summer when we had to deal with this joke of a company in a similar situation, my Grandmother ended up in the ER because she couldn't breathe. I am not looking forward to when summer really hits. Just cough the wrong way and you're out of power for hours.nnNot to mention this place constantly overcharges.nnThey will even bill you for meters that have never belonged to you in completely different counties.nnThis along with water from the Ashland town hall is an absolute nightmare. Avoid them both at ALL costs if you can..

Since the last review about a month ago my lights have been out at least a half dozen times . If they say rain or wind or excess heat I get out my candles . The wind blew a couple times out the lights went. Came back on for about 15 min, out again for an hour. Last time nearly 4 hours a week ago and I'm not expecting much better results tonight. They have got to start maintaining these trees and lines. I really hate to post about it, but it's just non stop. It's really annoying to have to sit out side ag night to cool off after thg he hottest day we've had this year.
