Very old headstones within the two neighboring cemeteries. Many of these were present during the American civil war. An army was situated between the old Allegany high school's track and baseball field. Some of the soldiers, belonging to both American sides of the conflict are buried here. Old and unique pieces of artful commemerance is how I view this pleasant space. Some of the stones are leaning due to the grounds moisture, and some are obviously vandals while a good many are obviously lawnmower and maintenance mishaps
Good group that preserves our history.
