Massage Green SPA

As a disabled veteran, I’ve had a lot of massages from different therapists...however...nTim at Massage Green Spa is by far the BEST massage therapist I’ve ever had. He worked out most of the issues in my back in the limited one hour I had, and was just SUPER knowledgeable and helpful with understanding how his technique can help my body.

I like this place. It is clean and the therapists are friendly. Sometimes, you get really great massages depending on your therapist, and other times, it’s just okay. For an overall experience, I would recommend this place.nnMy issue is their tipping policy. They have a placard on the desk with an exorbitant “reference” for tipping. For example, I pay $60/month in membership but for that hour massage, I’m expected to tip $25 for a “good” massage and $30-35 for excellent. WHY? I went in expecting to tip 20% of my overall bill and the girl at the desk says “so what is the exact amount because this is our reference,” pointing to the placard. ARE YOUR EMPLOYEES NOT PAID? Since when is 20% not enough of a tip for providing what could be considered a health service, since most people come in with medical or work-related aches and pains? I think massage therapy is the only medical-related practice that require tipping. And before someone replies to this saying “well, it’s just a reference,” the same lady said to a client as she’s walking out the door “so that’s $30 for the 90 minutes?” Uhh... why is that an issue? Don’t get me wrong, as I don’t mind tipping as a way of saying thank you for a job well done, but to borderline insist on 30-50% tipping is ridiculous. I plan on using my remaining massages but I will be finding a different spa when I’m through.

This is the only place I use to go and get my massages done. I’ve referred people here. Stopped going during Covid. Finally booked an appointment and sadly got stuck in traffic due to construction on 95. Literally driving an hour+ from Maryland just to go here because I like it so much and when I called to say I was running late they had to cancel my appointment with no desire to work with me they charged me the full amount of the service. They said if I needed to reschedule I needed to pay another full amount....Truly sad they can’t work with customers especially during such hard economical times. I would understand a $50 cancellation charge and then reschedule....but to charge the full amount especially when I was already on my way and just running late is poor customer service. Honestly enough to stop recommending this place and stop making the sacrifice to even go here especially living so far away.

Got a full body massage with hot stones and it was excellent! Johnathan was an amazing therapist and I will definitely be going back!
