Envoy at The Meadows

I only chose 1 star because it was the only way l could get though to leave a review. I had a love one in the Enovy Meadows in Goochland Va Rehab and lam so sorry we went there. I thought Louisa Rehab was bad but it is sad that there is always other place that can be worse and we experience it. The Administrator is not knowledgeable at all. He allows other resident talk about other resident and their care when they do not have the authority to be making decisions let alone discussed the care of other resident. He was ready to allow a resident be discharge who was on COVID quarantine before they were off of quarantine. He was going to take the word of a family member (who was a resident too) to discharge a different resident.nnWith the COVID rules and regulations we were not allow to go see our love one however there was no compassion for the family to reassure them that our love one was adjusting well knowing we could not go to see for ourselves. We are at the Rehab disposal. Whenever you call the front office staff they did not have the best customer service! My love one's package that was dropped off was lost. They moved our love one from a single room after she went though quarantine and never informed us so when we went there thinking she was in the same room to talk to her though the window my husband was breaking the law by pepping in the wrong window thinking he was going to be seeing his mother when he asked the front office staff to see if the Rehab could open the blinds so he could see his mother, she came back to let us know the front it was against the law instead of informing him that his mother had been moved to a different room with a roommate and it was confidential to open the window. If the Rehab would put themselves in the family members place maybe they can have a little more compassion and understanding for the family especially in there uncertain times .nnThe only positive experience we had was with the Social worker Ms. Falls. Outstanding individual. Never again. And a bad experience is told many times more than a good experience.

My father had a 20 day stay there for physical therapy. No one wants their loved ones in a nursing home. I can honestly say I judged this facility before I even gave it chance. Upon arriving there was confusion of my fathers room and a staff member was extremely rude to me. So right off the bat I go into protective mode. The following day I was greeted, and became more familiar with the staff working with my father. The CNA’s there for the most part are compassionate, and willing to help in any way possible. Yes, there were a few that were there clearly for a paycheck, but 95% were genuine. I’m a watcher, not only with my father, but with the other patients. The patients were treated with dignity, and care. His physical therapist was understanding and patient with him, along with OT, and Speech Therapy. The facility is kept very clean. My father left today with nothing but love from the staff, and lots of hugs.

Thank you for killing my brother. While in your facilities care you neglected to check on him for more than 4 hours. During that time he drowned on soda and chocolate. Me and my family had to watch him die slowly in a hospital bed later that night. I will make sure questions become Answer and someone takes accountability.
