As I was looking she anticipated my need for a tape measure and paper for notes.nI will be purchasing from Griffith based on Marley, #1 and 2, prices!

We needed a new sofa and looked all around Bellingham but decided to go with one we found at Griffith Furniture for two reasons: we prefer to shop local (especially during the pandemic) and because I appreciated the service; not pushy at all while I was looking, but helpful and available when needed. In mid-October 2020, I purchased a nice sofa that happened to be in the bargain basement and paid cash on the spot. Being it was in the bargain basement, there were no returns allowed. I didn’t think anything of it. Sadly, in early December we noticed that the sofa was creaking badly. We turned it over and opened up the bottom to see what the problem could be. The wood struts were held together by thin staples, not even the heavy carpenter staples, and two of the connector joists had completely fallen off. Poor craftsmanship on Ashley Furniture's part. My husband spent the evening trying to put it back together and fortify it. Now it’s mid-January and it’s creaking AGAIN. We haven’t been over-using this sofa, no one has been jumping up and down on it, and we’ve barely had it 3 months. For a $600 sofa (even being in the bargain basement) one would expect more use.nUPDATE:nAfter receiving a response from the owner, John, we now have a local furniture repair man on deck to come to survey to see if the sofa can be fixed. It was great to learn that the sofa actually had a 1-year warranty, that we were completely unaware of and it was fantastic of John to reach out and let us know that we would be taken care of. I increased the rating to 5 stars given the great customer service that Griffith Furniture provides and we're hopeful that we'll have a functioning sofa again soon. I'm still glad that we decided to shop local and I'm now even more glad that our local business supports us in return.
