Ah, Avenue Bread takeout-lunch in a brown paper bag, with a pickle and chips. Perfection. I love their bread (duh), but the sandwiches are why I return week after week. Parking in the small lot outside can be hit or miss, so shoot for before the real lunch rush if you can.
I have been a patron of Avenue for over a decade, but this was the first time I’ve ordered from the James St. location. So wonderful. The Sunnyland omelette was cooked perfectly with fresh ingredients. Additionally, I was pleasantly surprised at how large the portions were- great value! I am always being asked by out of town family to bring them the rosemary English muffins.
Love this place. Great bread and lunch menu but the breakfast sando's the hidden gem. I've tried several by now. B/E/C on a rosemary muffin... amazing!
The bread was so fresh and amazing. I had their Avenue Club sandwich and it was so big I could only eat half for lunch. Everything was fresh and delicious. Highly recommended!
Impressive tasting breads. Try the frozen bake at home baguettes they are great!
