Bakers General Store

Love this place. From Portland to Newport Beach... this place adds an extra 45 minutes but is scenic (unlike I-5) & we can hit this sweet deli for amazing car food & of course treats for the picnic at the beach!

Google says open till 8pm. We got here on a Saturday at 7:04pm. Car on empty with a baby in the car, was told there was nothing they could do and left us stranded. Update your hours and have some compassion next time. Dont have 8pm listed and close at 7pm then deny people fuel with a child in the car.

Peanut butter cookies and marionberry pie, can't go wrong.

The store was incredibly quant with everything that you could possibly need on the way to/from the ocean, the only sad part was that it was not on our route home. The homemade goods at the counter, especially the cookies, are AMAZING, and the staff was beyond kind.nnAs a POC I felt completely safe and at ease at this one off general store in the middle of nowhere Oregon.
