Simply Cakes by Jae

Wasn't as good as I was hoping for unfortunately. Because she uses heavy cream whipped cream instead of buttercream or another actual icing she has to keep the cupcakes very cold, which dries out the cake and makes them dense. Lovely little shop, but a bit disappointed sadly.

Was recommended by a coworker. Really cute place. jae was very welcoming and cupcakes were yummy.

We called and placed a last minute order for a birthday cake needed next day. Not only was Jae happy to help and extremely friendly, but the vanilla cake with lemon curd and whipped cream frosting was the BEST cake we have ever had! Our entire family agreed that it was the most delicious cake we’d ever eaten. The cake was super light and fluffy, the lemon curd perfectly tart and sweet and the whipped cream frosting was the perfect compliment. Highly recommend! We have decided we’ll be ordering a cake from Jae every time we visit the Oregon Coast from now on— whether there’s a birthday to celebrate or not! So good!

Love the cupcakes and the cinnamon rolls (that she only makes on Sundays)! This time we got a cinnamon roll with apple filling. It was very good, but I still like the plain cinnamon roll a little bit better! Thank you, Jae!

Oh my goodness. You have to try the gingerbread cupcakes with whipped cream on top. They are amazing!
