Pocatello Utility Billing Department

Unprofessional customer service! The City of Pocatello Utility department is absolutely the worst to communicate with and they make billing extremely hard.

Let people crowd in front of me knowing I have breathing issues and can't stand that long. Instead of saying she's before you they waited on that man. they are slow as snails I had to sit down. Then they tack a extra 3.00 to my bill when they knew I had to seek assistance

Seriously the reviews on here are hilarious. Deadbeats who can’t pay their bills on time griping about how expensive the utilities are. Many say they have lived in Pocatello for years...ssssooooo...how do you know it’s more expensive than other places? The utilities in Pocatello are astoundingly cheap, admittedly our property taxes are MUCH higher than other cities in the state, but utility services does their best. Watering bills in Boise can top 300 bucks. Just for water...I have a lush green lawn with sewer and garbage service and my bill rarely goes over 150 for 1/4 acre lot. The setup of new service does have a LOT more vetting than other utilities like gas and electric and does leave a feel of an untrusting government entity, but based on these reviews I can see why! So, in reality, if you are nice to others they will be nice to you. So, long story short: pay your bill on time sillies...and if and when you have an issue be nice about it. It’s just human decency.

I have nothing but great service with them. They called and told me that my water was high and came out to see if I had a leak. I was able to get it fixed fast.

After my water was turned off I contacted the utility billing department via e-mail, and they were helpful in returning my service the next day.
