Green chili and cheese omelette. Fantastic. Fresh baked goodness too (I liked the cream cheese danish) Fast service, and they keep you coffee full. Friendly too. Open early, and plan to take advantage. By 8 there will be a line out the door. And well worth the wait. Will absolutely be returning here for breakfast.

I've been eating at Michael's Kitchen since the 1970s. A Taos classic for sure. Excellent service and excellent food. If you go to Taos, this is a must-stop place to eat. If the menu items don't match your culinary wants, then just stop in to visit the heavenly bakery with the most incredible choices, all made in house daily. One more thing. You know a place is good when the same employees are there year after year. Enjoy.

I was in the mood for a breakfast-for-lunch situation and Michael's delivered. I got the french toast made with cinnamon bread with bacon and an egg on top. The bacon is really thick! I should have asked for the bacon a little crispier and the egg a little runnier. But overall it was good, it just didn't knock my socks off. The wait staff is very friendly and they're doing a decent job of social distances, though it is a tight space inside.

An absolute experience! This family owned diner, brings me back to my childhood. Home cooked comfort food, doused in quality and efficiency. The bakery is a definite must! The Gem of Taos Nm. Thank you for your excellent hospitality. Will be back every time were here!

Don't get me wrong, the food was good. Although, I don't feel like it was anything special. What I do recommend, though, is the breakfast enchiladas as well as the sopapillas. My favorite things there were definitely the green chili and the sopapillas. We had very high hopes for their bakery, but we were unfortunately very disappointed with it. The cookies that we got resembled closely to hockey pucks rather than a cookie. To conclude, I feel like it doesn't live up to the hype that it gets.
