Consulate General of Saint Lucia

Wow, what a difference in service! My passport was sent to the N.Y. office (I live in Canada) and Ignatius called me first thing on Monday morning letting me know. Since my phone was off when he called, I returned the call and the young lady who answered the telephone was very polite and professional! I was transferred to Ignatius (Jean I believe. I am subject to correction) and he was very helpful. I have not had customer service like this from a Saint Lucian in a while. He went above and beyond! I was actually very satisfied with the service I received over the phone. Ignatius is doing an excellent job in accommodating Saint Lucians. He answered all my questions and was quite happy to do so. It was a joy to talk to a Saint Lucian who loved their job as much as he did. I can tell he takes great pride in what he does. The office in Toronto can definitely learn a few things from New York. Thank you for being so helpful and patient with me!

The lady whom I spoke to on the phone was extremely rude and irritated . It’s a very unprofessional experience.

I went in today so I could get my passport renewal and I was so disgusted with the front desk representative and the idiotic out dated application. I have a unique Israel name, and where I had to write down my first name, it says to write down your Christian name??? My Christian name?ud83eudd14ud83dude21 I don’t have a Christian name!!!!! Christianity is not my religion... so why do they have on an application in the st. Lucia embassy Saying write down your Christian name. I am HIGHLY insulted by that. Then I was told by the front desk representative that my application may be rejected because my hair is covered,”ud83dude33 what!!?” Last I check in the so call Christianity world a woman is supposed to cover their hair. And to top it off there’s no place where you can put that your Hair is covered for your faith... or religious purpose. This application in my opinion is straight up asinine to me. They want your so call Christian name.....but They don’t want you to follow,what it says that you need to do in the Bible...if that’s not asinine to me I don’t know what is.
