Consulate General of Croatia

My experience with Consulate was more than great ,as always. Extremely helpful and polite personnel and very responsive to our needs .nWe needed to extend our sons passport and since my husband is an executive chef, his working hours are impossible to match for any kind appointment, but Mrs. Irena went above and beyond to setup an appointment within my husbands hours. Whole process before and during the appointment was extremely easy and very well explained, without any hassle regarding what documents we need to bring with us. Since there are still active covid restrictions , everyone needs to come in on exact time of the appointment, and I must say I was positively surprised when we were admitted right on time and with all covid protocols in use. During our appointment Irena was very professional, knowledgeable, polite and fast. We were in and out in no time with everything done like I was explained over the phone. My sons passport was done in 3 weeks which I find extra fast with all the covid restrictions here and in Croatia. It's always pleasure to work with our Consulate in New York. Thank you for making our life abroad so much easier.

I’ve been calling for 4 days straight during open hours. Is there an issue with your phone service? If someone needs immediate assistance a GOVERNMENT official office needs to do the job they are being paid for. Otherwise go back to croatia where there are no jobs, since you do not wish to work.

I spoke to Vlatka, very professional and informative and now I feel like I have a plan for my paperwork.

Unprofessional- complicated my life big time, commenting on my personal info (the nationality of my husband and his religion), belitelling my place of birth (Zagreb). Highly dissapointed that such people represent Croatia in the US. I whish I could be more positive.

Yesterday I called the consulate and the lady was very helpful. We resolved different things i really needed. Besides that I renewed my passport and I was pleased with the fact that they were really fast.
