If you are considering mailing your documents here, please don’t. You are better off sending them to DC or Texas as my family members have never had issues in these locations. And if my husband hadn’t insisted I would not have used this location either.nnThe NY office will not answer your phone call. I’ve called about 10 times and waited on the line only to get to caller one and then get disconnected.nThey may or may not respond to your email if and when they feel like it. Just make sure to include a catchy phrase in the subject like “Missing Passport. “ But even then there is no response or update on what’s going on.nnThe one way they will respond quickly is through the chat. But the person on the chat can’t help give you information and only directs you to send an email.nnI sent an expedited visa application with my husband, but they only shipped his passport back, while mine is still missing. It’s been 3 weeks and I haven’t been able to reach them via phone or email. Only through the chat. I am currently still waiting and hoping to get my passport back in time to make my trip in 4 days, but seeing some of the other reviews say they had to reschedule their flights is disheartening. I definitely won’t be using this location ever again. They took my expedited visa money, but didn’t give me an expedited visa.

I had 1 of the best experience with my visit to the GCG building, from the receptionist, the check-in Desk to the process desk was nothing but amazing. Every individual there took their time to properly speak to everyone. I recommend this build 100%. it took between an hour to 2 hours to get everything done. Top notch service.

I was on hold for half an hour, then they just hung up.nNothing has changed with Ghana.

I came here to renew my passport after trying to do so via the incredibly inept DC embassy. Here’s a long list detailing my experience:nnCONS:n- Expect delays. You likely won’t be seen at the time of your appointment, but 2-3+ hours after.nn- Impossible to reach them via phone. They are also not responsive to email.nnPROS:n- Passport renewal process more streamlined and comprehensible than the DC embassy.nn- New passport arrived within a month, far sooner than my experience at DC.nn- There’s a library next door in case you forget to print a thing or two.nn- The lady who processed my passport was really sweet and professional. I appreciated this, because I’d been in line for about 3.5 hours...nnTIPS:n- Ensure ample time between your appointment and your flight back. (See Con #1)nn- If your old passport has a protective case/covering, take it out before you hand it over. They stapled my new passport to the old passport in its case. I can’t remove the staples (to encase the new passport) without destroying both passports. Super inconvenient.

Worst service ever. I sent my passport since the 1st of September. I was told they have not received it and the tracking said have been delivered to the consulate. I have been on the phone for almost an hour then it hanged up. The email on the website is not working. Spoke to a lady, told me they have hundreds of passports. I guess Ghana is the best country in the world and every body is lining to get there right?nnVery rude lady on the phone. real nasty.{Donald Trump voice}
