I LOVE HOT TIPS! I have never had a bad experience there. My nails look amazing every time. Alex is awesome! Everyone at my job started going here instead of their regular salon!

Extremely rude staff.nnEdit because of the business’ response. No, I am not reviewing the wrong business. Nice try attempting to deflect blame off of yourselves though. Classic Hot Tips salon behavior, more like hot heads! Customers beware, look for yourselves and read all of their responses to unsatisfied paying customer’s reviews, so rude and nasty. Always blaming the customer and never taking accountability for bad attitudes and/or mistakes. I decided to review your business now because a close friend of mine recently had a bad experience, too. And I remembered how terrible of an experience I had on multiple occasions here in the past, until not returning ever again. There are too many customers on here with the same negative reviews/claims for this business to effectively deflect blame and say all these customers are wrong.

I booked 2 appointments for 1 pm, and was called at 12:40 asking if I was on my way. I stated that we had agreed on 1 and I had written it down for proof. Nonetheless, we rushed over. When we arrived, the receptionist said she didn’t even remember speaking to me, and when I said I even wrote down that I made it for 1, she replied with “No you didn’t.” She made me feel like it was my fault for HER misunderstanding. I got a design and they turned out okay, my friend was a bit disappointed in hers too. My nails came out to be $60 for acrylic fill with design, and my friend’s were $65 for the same exact thing- if anything, her design was simpler than mine. Overall a bad experience, won’t be returning.

The workers here are super nice and amazing at nail art! The place itself is very clean and tidy. I usually get acrylics when I come here, and they always look amazing! Unfortunately, I haven't been here in a while because of the pandemic, but hopefully I'll be back soon.

I had been a client of one of the nail technicians I’ll call her “N” here for over a year and always very consistent with my appointments. Over a month ago I called to make an appointment to get a new set of acrylics finally since I have not been back since they reopened in the summer. I booked an appointment and four days before the appointment I found out I could not make it due to childcare changes with virtual schooling so therefore I called the salon to explain this and reschedule. I spoke with the owner and at first it seemed to be no problem and the appointment was rescheduled for a month later because “N” is that busy and certainly the appointment I had cancelled would be easy to fill. I get off the phone with the owner and five minutes later I get a phone call from her saying that she made a mistake in not getting a booking deposit from me because now I have cancelled on them twice. I asked her ‘when did I cancel prior to this time?’ The date she says is March 18, 2020 which is days after restaurants and many other businesses had already closed due to the severity of the pandemic. I cancelled for both mine and “N”’s safety it would have been an absolutely ludicrous and irresponsible choice to have Kept that appointment. I explain exactly this to the owner to which she tells me that in cancelling what I did was lose them money and she continued by saying “the pandemic did not just affect you it affects me also and my money and You should take that seriously and i won’t make an exception just because of the pandemic” this goes on for minutes with her interruptions while I try to talk calmly and she continues on her ridiculous rant about my selfishness for thinking canceling on March 18 should be an exception. While she is repeatedly interrupting me I tell her “I will give you my card info I am just not understanding the logic behind this and I have always been a good customer and client of “N”’s.”She did not care in the least and amidst her frustration with me giving her a proper logical explanation she tells me she is cancelling my appointment. She said to me “I don’t care I don’t want your card information anymore you’re done” She chose to sabotage a client relationship for her employee, take money away from her employee because she had no ability to deal with customers properly. It’s a shame this place is owned by someone like that and even more of a shame that someone with talent like ‘N’ works for someone who would interfere with her career like that. I Had been a customer of hers specifically for a year and of this place for 5 years. Having worked in customer service for ten years i thought I had seen some of the worst but this was a new level of poor service. Very disappointed
