If I would describe this place, it would be absolute heaven. With the no sugar, and low carb options, this place was a place for me. Based upon a little something I have, I should not eat sugary or high carb desserts and food. When my parents brought me to this place today, I was honestly surprised. Desserts, that I could eat and enjoy freely! I hope this bakery fits other people’s needs, just like it fit mines. Overall I think this place would Be a fantastic place to look at, for some gluten free, sugar free, and low carb options.
30 years I have been buying their delicious food. Must mean something when they have life long customers. I drive 2 hours just to go there.
EVERYTHING is delicious! I went here for my diabetic father for Valentine's day and he loved everything! His favorite was the buckeyes!!
I was so hyped-up to see a sugar-free bakery but I went to their website and checked the ingredients...As sweeners, they use a lot of xylitol, sucralose (not a fan), AND maltodextrin(!) which has a much higher glycemic index than normal sugar and is considered worse than sugar. They also include flour in their recipes which will sky-rocket blood sugar and is definetely not for low-carb and/or keto diet. Honestly, this bakery could be a one step forward for the people who try to cut down sugar consumption but I don't think it is good for controlling blood sugar or keeping on a low-carb diet. Sorry :(
I've never tried their sugar free items, but my son that has Celiac's loves their gluten free goodies like macaroons, brownies, cheesecakes, whooping pies, and cookies. The normal goodies are delicious too!
