I was heading north from the twin cities to store my boat up near Duluth since I keep it on the lake. I decided to keep it in the cities and liked the rates at Forest Lake Marine so brought it in. I did have a sun deck pad that I wanted replaced and had them make it last fall. They winterized it and did a water pump repair along with the heat/air conditioning circulation pump for the cabin. They were very fair and did excellent work while being very friendly. I highly recommend them and their services.
We brought our pontoon here. Dropped it off in June hoping to have it back by 4th of July. They had it for 3 weeks before calling to say they had started working on it. 2 weeks after that first call they somehow realized we still had the keys? After calling multiple times, to ask progress. Never received a call back, stopped in twice and mechanic wasn’t there. Finally after 3 months we gave up and went to pick up the boat. They had lost our battery cover and broke the prop. Never fixed anything, never called. We asked the owner to call us and never heard from him. I wouldn’t bring anything here. We were not only wanting engine work but canvas work as well, so it would have been a larger bill. No effort at all to make amends.
Great Value on the work. Got my boat running as promised.Would have given 5 stars but communication was lacking a bit. I had to call for updates. He did get the boat done by the day he promised.
Jason the owner made different promises as to timeline. He blew past every time promise and never called me, I had to chase him down to get any communication then he would make another promise he didn't keep. Hi
